Pablo Mariña is a Mexican composer who specializes in both acoustic and computer music. He currently resides in Graz, Austria where he works on creating live-electronics pieces that aim to seamlessly blend processed and non-processed sound materials. His main areas of focus include live electronics, structural approaches, and iterative processes. Pablo's recent works have also explored the concepts of spatialization configurations and cross-perceptual phenomena.
Apart from his concert music, Pablo also creates sound installations and collaborates with video artists. He is an active member of composers' collectives GONaD and facere, which provide a platform for him to exchange ideas and collaborate with other artists.
Pablo Mariña completed his studies in Composition and Music Theory at the Center for Music Studies and Research (CIEM) in Mexico City. He holds a Master's Degree in Computer Music from the Institute of Electronic Music and is currently enrolled in a Master's Degree of Classical Composition studies at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz. Alongside his creative practice, Pablo is also working on developing electronic and electroacoustic music performance and composition tools.
